Hjortsjöns fishingarea include Hjortsjön and Fågelforsdammen. You can fish eel, whitefish, pike, tench, bream, rudd, roach, burbot, perch. Fishing license required!
Hjortsjön is located in northern Vaggeryd . The lake maximum depth has been measured at 17.5 meters, and it has an area of 1.05 square kilometers and is 193.9 meters above sea level. Hjortsjön is located about half within the urban area Vaggeryd . Black-throated Diver, Water Rail and Redshank are some seabirds that breed in the lake.
Hjortsjön is a so-called dödissjö , which means that the lake was created by a block of ice that remained and weighed down the ground when the ice was pulled back when the ice age was over, and is therefore geoscientific interesting.
Fågelforsdammen is a lake / stream located east of Götaströms Club and Skillingaryd. The lake has an area of 0,847 square kilometers and is 186.5 meters above sea level.
The landscape around the pond is flat which makes it easy to get close to fish from shore. Have some sandy beaches mainly covered with shapely but sparse pine forest. The area is currently characterized by outdoor recreation. There is a jogging track around the lake that is easy to walk , run or bike on.
